Naoshima Rice

直島米

Naoshima Rice (Hinohikari variety) is harvested from the Tsumu'ura paddy fields in the Naoshima Rice-Growing Project. It is grown with minimal use of agrichemicals using methods learned from Naoshima farmers. Harvested and polished locally, it is fresh and safe. A product of the fertile natural environment of Naoshima, it is perfect for a gift or souvenir.
The quantity of Naoshima Rice is limited because of the small area of cultivated rice fields. Once the amount on hand has been sold, no more will be available during the year.
